My work is created in the field in response to the subject, frequently the landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds around Huggate, and the dramatic coastline nearby. Marks are made quickly and expressively using a range of media to capture changing weather, light and atmosphere. Recent work has been predominantly in acrylics, oils, pastel and charcoal. My print studio in Huggate is used to translate sketches into prints and run workshops.
